Proverbs 19 from the NIV...
1. Verse 1 "Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse."
2. Verse 11 "A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense."
3. Verse 20 & 21"Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise. Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

My favorite today was the one that said people ruin their lives by their own stupidity, so why does God always get blamed? And I loved the one that said when you give to the poor, it's like a loan to God and He will pay it back in full. Think I might put that one on facebook :) I LOVE these!
I didn't find me The Message the other day. They had one copy, but it was messed up. I'll have to make a trip to Barnes & Noble one day this week :)

I really liked this verse b/c it does seem like God gets blamed for a lot of things that are our own doing.
7 When you're down on your luck, even your family avoids you—yes, even your best friends wish you'd get lost. If they see you coming, they look the other way—out of sight, out of mind.
Oh my gosh. I couldn't believe it when I read this verse!! It reminds me of times when I am avoided.
20 Take good counsel and accept correction—that's the way to live wisely and well.
